This research blog is a collective of the designated state flowers of India. It consists of relevant information about the flowers including the reason behind the designation, the symbolic meanings associated with the flowers, the cultural, religious significance and their usage.

At the moment there is lack of compiled information available in public domain about the state flowers. The purpose of this blog is to collate information for anyone's educational or personal use.

This research blog has been designed and developed by postgraduate students Vijeta Bhat and Bhavya Mukund from the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, as part of the studio ‘Plants and Decorative Practices’.
